Ludovic Ravanel is a geomorphologist specializing in high-altitude mountainous environments and their evolution due to climate change. His focus is on questions both fundamental (imbalances in glacial and periglacial environments) and applied (stability of infrastructures in a permafrost context, risks for users). As a native and inhabitant of Chamonix, a former mountain refuge guardian and a member of the Company of Chamonix Guides, he lives in the heart of his field of research.
