SwitzerlandHead of sport and the environment at the Swiss Alpine Club

Anne Roches is Head of Sport and the Environment at the Swiss Alpine Club (CAS). Her role is to raise environmental awareness among mountain sports enthusiasts and safeguard access to the Swiss mountains. As an environmental engineer trained at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) and a lover of the great outdoors, her work was for many years focused on climate modelling, with the mountains remaining an extra-curricular passion. She has since shifted her career towards the latter and taken on a role at the CAS geared towards altering behaviours in this precious environment. She also sits on the Board of the King Albert I Memorial Foundation, which rewards individuals and institutions for their contribution to the mountain world.
